<Topic 1> A Call From Minsu's Dad

My dad is working in China. He has been away from home for one year. He calls us three times a week. I miss him a lot.

Last Saturday night, I was very sick and could not sleep well. My mom did not sleep all night, either. She took care of me. The next morning, my father called. He asked, "How are You? Are you having a good time at school?"I answered, "I'm fine, Dad. I know you're working hard there." Dad answered, "Well, son. You're talking like a man. I feel proud of you. May I speak to your mom?" I gave the phone to my mom. Tears rolled down my cheeks. I don't know why.

 

 

<Topic 2> Surprise Party

It was the evening of Eobeoinal. My sister and I gave a small party for them. We put candles in the middle of th table. We lit the candles and turned off the light. We ran to them and said together, "Thank you, Mom and Dad." I said, "This party is for you. We hope you like it." Then we gave a card to our parents. They said, "Thanks. You're our hopes and dreams!" We had a good time.

Mary: What will we do on Teachers' Day?
Ted: Let's make a poster.
Inho: What should be on the poster?
Ted: How about putting a carnation in the middle?
Sora: That's a good idea. I hope she likes it.

Dialogue 2

Ted: What did you do on Teachers' Day?
Sora: We made a big poster for him and sang songs.
Ted: Did you have a good time?
Sora: Yes, we did.
Ted: That's nice!
