1 동물이 인간에게 기여하는 활동에 관한 글을 읽어 봅시다.
Dogs are faithful animals. They have given people much help. One example would be guide dogs. They are trained as guides. They become friends for blind people. They help the blind cross the street safely. Guide dogs take them to any place they want to go.
Horses were very useful for people in the past. They were used as a good means of transportation for a long time. They were also used to carry heavy things. Today they provide us with a lot of excitement at horse races. They are also helpful to police officers.


2 봉사와 희생의 삶을 살았던 인물에 대한 글을 읽어 봅시다.
Mother Teresa was born in Yugoslavia in 1910. When she was twelve, she had a wish to help the poor.
In 1946, Mother Teresa opened a small school in India. She taught children how to read letters and how to keep themselves clean. Later, she also opened the Home for the Dying. She took patients to the Home and tried to take care of them.
In 1979, Mother Teresa was given the Nobel Peace Prize. She received the prize with some money. She said, "I don't need the money myself. I receive it only for the old. It belongs to them."
Mother Teresa died in 1997. She was honored as a saint by the Pope. Although she is not on Earth, she still lives with us.
