Do you know what a windshield wiper is? This useful thing was invented by Mary Anderson in 1903. Then, was she an inventor? No, she was a housewife.
One day, she was riding in a car during a trip to New York City. She found out that the car was stopping a lot. she asked the driver, "What's wrong with the car?" The driver answered, "Nothing, but I have to get out to wipe the windshield to see well." She thought, "Isn't there any way to clean the windshield without stopping the car?" At that time, she hit on a new idea. She quickly drew her idea on a piece of paper. Later, this idea became a windshield wiper.
Inventions can happen by chance. However, inventions are possible only when we watch things around us carefully.
