<Topic 1> Chuseok in Korea

I am Toto from another world.
Let me tell you a story about Korea.

When I was flying over Korea, it was "Chuseok". Chuseok is the Korean Thanksgiving Day.
In the morning, I could see Sora's family. They put nice food and new fruit on the table. They made a lot of songpyeon with new rice. After breakfast, they visited their family graves.
In the evening, they enjoyed looking at the full moon. Some people made a circle and danced hand in hand. They wee enjoying the holiday.

<Topic 2> Tori's Trip to Canada

I'm Tori. Toto's friend.
Let me tell you a story about my short trip.

On the second Monday in October, I went to Canada. It was Thanksgiving Day. While I was over there, I saw many interesting things. In some cities, there were big holiday events. In other cities, there were big football matches.
I saw Bill's house. His family got together and enjoyed talking. Then his family enjoyed a big turkey dinner. They had a nice holiday.

LET'S TALK
Dialogue 1

A: Why do Americans celebrate Thanksgiving?
B: It has a long history. In 1620, hundreds of English people came to America by          ship.
A: They always celebrated that day, didn't they?
B: No. When they got there, they did not have a lot of food.
A: That's big problem. What did they do?

Dialogue 2

Ann: In the spring, the Indians showed them how to plant corn.
Inho: How kind they were!
Ann: Yes. And the newcomers worked very hard. In the fall, they had a lot of food.
Inho: That's great! And what did they do for the Indians?
Ann: They invited the Indians to eat with them. We think that was the first                  Thanksgiving Day in America.
