Lesson 4
The Scrambled Eggs Are Ready to Serve

Let's Talk
Dialog 1

Good morning, Mom. Good morning, Cathy. Are you ready for breakfast?
No. I don't feel like eating anything.
I think you need to eat something. It is very important to start each day with breakfast.
But I don't have much appetite.
Then, how about some scrambled eggs and fruit?
Sounds good. But isn't it too much trouble for you to fix them?
Not at all. It takes only five minutes to make scrambled eggs.
Really? Thanks, Mom.

Dialog 2

A : Are you interested in making a vanilla milk shake?
B : Yes. But it's difficult, isn't it?
A : No, not at all. It's easy.
B : Really? What do I need?
A : Just two cups of vanilla ice cream and a glass of milk.
B : Then what do I do with them?
A : First, place the vanilla ice cream in a blender and add the milk.
Then, cover it and blend till the mixture is smooth.
B : Okay, I can follow that. What's next?
A : Next? It's done. Just pour it into glasses and serve.

Let's Read

Yumi wanted to make her parents happy for Parents' Day. She planned to prepare breakfast by herself and serve it to her parents. But she had no idea what to prepare for breakfast. So she checked Internet sites, and found the following recipe. It explained how to make scrambled eggs.

SCRAMBLED EGGS
Serving Size : 4
Cooking Time : 15 minutes
What You Need :
6 eggs
1  glass of milk
2  tablespoons of butter
½ teaspoon of salt

How to Make ;
1. Beat the eggs, milk and salt together.
2. Heat the butter in a frying pan over medium heat.
3. Pour the egg mixture into the frying pan.
4. Then, gently stir it for four to five minutes.
Now the scrambled eggs are ready to serve.

Will her parents be happy with Yumi's scrambled eggs? Well, why don't you try it by yourself, and see if your parents are happy with your scrambled eggs?
