Dialog 1

I had a big surprise yesterday.
What happened?
I ran into an old friend of mine on the street. The last time I saw her was over 2 years ago.
Does your friend live in Korea?
No, she is visiting here for a week with her father.
Did you recognize her easily?
Yes, I did. But she is much taller than before.
When is she going back?
The day after tomorrow. But we will keep in touch by e-mail.

Dialog 2

A : How was your trip to the East Coast last summer vacation?
B : Great except for the traffic.
A : What do you mean?
B : I enjoyed the trip, but the traffic was bad.
A : Oh, I see. I can imagine it.
B : A lot of people go to beaches in summer.
A : But some people also go to the mountains.
B : I'd like to go there next summer.
A : That's a good idea.

Let's Read

Minsu and his friends met again after the summer vacation. Minsu told his friends what he did during the summer vacation.
"Last summer, my family went to Pohang in our car. My father drove, and my mother sat beside him. My sister and I sat in the back. My parents said, "Don't fight." Do you know why they said that? Because my sister and I always fight when we are in the back of the car together."
"On our way to Pohang, we visited an amusement park. We were told that there was a special dolphin show. But we got there too late, and the show was over. We all felt sad."
"Then we drove all the way to Pohang. The next day, we went to a beautiful beach. We ate lunch there. After lunch, we had a wonderful surprise."
"We saw lots and lots of dolphins. They were swimming and jumping in the sea. 'We didn't miss seeing the dolphin show after all,' said my mother. We all felt glad. We also enjoyed swimming all day long."
